Heartwood Home

The Heartwood Home kitchen is a perfect example of how custom cabinetry can elevate both style and function. We crafted full-height cabinets with glass-front uppers and integrated lighting to create a bright, elegant feel. A hidden walk-in pantry blends seamlessly into the cabinetry, while the large two-tone island adds contrast and warmth. Custom drawer storage was added throughout—including a built-in banquette—to maximize space without sacrificing design. Every detail, from soft-close hardware to clean lines, reflects the precision and craftsmanship Wolter’s is known for.

Our Process:
Custom Cabinets Made Easy

At Wolter’s Custom Cabinets, we believe great cabinetry starts with great communication and craftsmanship. Our process is intentionally personal, hands-on, and highly detailed—because your project deserves more than stock designs and rushed installs. From the moment you meet with our design team to the final walk-through, everything is handled with precision and care. We don’t just build cabinets—we craft custom solutions that are made for your home and how you live in it.

Dream &
Design

It all starts with a complimentary consultation where we listen to your needs, preferences, and ideas. You’ll receive a custom 3D rendering that lets you visualize your space, complete with the materials, finishes, and layout you’ve chosen.

Finalize &
Approve

Once you’re happy with the design, we collect your final selections and appliance specs, then provide detailed drawings and a project estimate. When the contract is signed, your project is officially in motion.

Engineer
& Build

Our team visits your home for final measurements and adjusts the design to ensure a perfect fit. Then our production team builds your cabinets from scratch—using top-tier materials and finishing everything in-house.

Install
& Finish

Our skilled installers bring your custom cabinets to life with precise installation. We’ll coordinate with your countertop supplier (if applicable) and complete a final walkthrough to make sure everything is exactly as promised.

What Makes Our Cabinets Better

We use ¾” hardwood plywood for all of our cabinet boxes—thicker and more durable than the ½” or even ⅜” material found in most factory cabinets. This added strength gives your cabinets a sturdier feel, longer lifespan, and better support for everything you store inside.

Our cabinets are built to last. Instead of flimsy corner blocks like you’ll find in stock cabinets, we use full-length stretchers for added strength. We also use joinery techniques like dovetail and lock miter joints that physically lock pieces together—so your cabinets stay strong without relying on just glue or screws.

We paint and stain our cabinets after they’re fully assembled—not in pieces. This allows us to carefully prep and sand every joint and seam, giving you a smooth, seamless finish without visible lines where pieces come together. It’s a cleaner, more professional look that lasts.
